A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our recent collection for the Christchurch City Mission.
Thanks to the generosity of our St Martins Medical community, we were able to donate a fantastic range of much-needed items, including warm jackets, shoes, socks, sleeping bags and food. These donations went to the City Mission’s Outreach programme, supporting people in our community who are experiencing homelessness and significant hardship.
The Christchurch City Mission does amazing work across our community, supporting people and whānau through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Their work extends well beyond their Outreach programme and includes food support, emergency accommodation, social work, addiction support, learning and development programmes, and helping people find pathways towards greater stability and independence.
The City Mission team were incredibly grateful for the donations, and it was wonderful to see such a generous response from our patients, staff and wider St Martins community.
The collection was such a success that we are now hoping to make it an annual Winter collection, giving us the opportunity to continue supporting the City Mission and those in our community who need a little extra help during the colder months.
