Glenys Moore

Glenys has been a registered nurse now for over 40 years and trained here in Christchurch under the old hospital system.  For nearly 30 of those years, Glenys worked as a midwife in the hospital as an independent. In 2009 she returned to nursing and worked in the Emergency Department for 9 years before shifting to practice nursing and working at St Martins in 2015. Glenys became Nurse Manager at the beginning of 2020.

Glenys really enjoys using her skills and knowledge to help less experienced nurses and students, and being able to make autonomous decisions to help our patients overcome issues with their health, certainly gives her a lot of satisfaction.

Out of work, Glenys enjoys time with her family, being outside in the garden, cycling, knitting and reading.
