Dr. Caroline Ansley

BSc MBChB, FRNZCGP

Caroline graduated from Otago University, Dunedin School of Medicine in 2002. She trained in general practice in Wellington and moved to Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2009.

Caroline enjoys working with the wide range of patients that general practice has to offer, and is particularly interested in working to improve the ways patients move through the Canterbury Health System. She has a significant leadership role in Te Whatu Ora Waitaha, which takes up most of her working week, and is why she is only available to see patients one morning per week. She has a special interest in the medical and psychiatric care of people who have been adversely affected by involvement with high control groups, or cults.

Caroline is married to another doctor – Chris – and together they have two teenage boys. As a family they enjoy spending time in the outdoors – tramping, cycling and skiing. Caroline also enjoys reading, is an enthusiastic learner of te reo Māori and is the developer of her own podcast series. She has two Burmese cats called Apollo and Athena.
