Blood Tests (Phlebotomy)

Blood test services are available Monday to Friday with our nurses.

Bloods are sent to Southern Community Laboratories or Canterbury Health labs for analysis. Results are then reviewed by your doctor and are made available to enrolled patients via ManageMyHealth, or by text or phone.
With the exception of some specialised tests, most lab results are available within a few days.

Testing Fees

Most laboratory processing fees are free to New Zealand residents (with the exception of work related, or patient requested tests that are not required for diagnostic purposes).

Charges apply for non-New Zealand citizens and for some specialised tests

Our Fees

There is a charge to have your blood drawn here, please check our Other Fees page for this information.  Alternatively, you can go to one of the Canterbury SCL testing facilities where they do not charge to draw blood.
