Dr. Marie Burke

Marie qualified in the UK in 1989 and did her GP training in the UK.

She moved to Aotearoa with her partner Ray in 1997, initially for a 2 year OE, and is still here. She loves general practice – especially the variety and the teamwork.

Marie also works at Pegasus Health in the Clinical Quality and Education team, involved in education for GPs, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and community pharmacists.

When not at work, Marie can usually be found on her bike, in the garden, reading a book (not all at the same time), or on walks with Ray and their beloved greyhound Orina.
