Dr. Caroline Ansley

BSc MBChB, FRNZCGP

Caroline graduated from Otago University, Dunedin School of Medicine in 2002. She trained in general practice in Wellington and moved to Ōtautahi Christchurch to gain her fellowship in the speciality of general practice in 2009.

Caroline enjoys working with the wide range of patients that general practice has to offer. As well as working at the practice she also works at Hillmorton Hospital as a GP for patients in some of the psychiatric wards. She also works at the Cambridge Clinic on the sexual assault assessment and treatment roster. These roles keep her fairly busy which is why she is only available to see patients one afternoon per week. She has a special interest in the medical and psychiatric care of people who have been adversely affected by involvement with high control groups, or cults, and welcomes any patients who have experience of such groups.

Caroline is married to another doctor – Chris – and together they have two teenage boys. As a family they enjoy spending time in the outdoors – tramping, cycling and skiing. Caroline also enjoys reading, is an enthusiastic learner of te reo Māori and is the developer of her own podcast series. She has two Burmese cats.
