Aynsley Macleod, Pharmacist

Aynsley is our General Practice Pharmacist. She has over 20 years’ experience in both community pharmacy and pharmacy education.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from her home town Dunedin in 1999. Since then, she has completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice and a Diploma in Sports Medicine.

She is passionate about all things related to medicine and medication management. Aynsley values the importance of the patient understanding how their medicines work and why they have been prescribed. She finds it rewarding working as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve value and outcomes from medicines for patients. As part of her work here at St Martins Medical Practice, she carries out medication reviews, conducts clinical audits and provides evidence-based education to general practice team.

When not at work, Aynsley loves spending time with her partner and daughter on their lifestyle block and going on adventures to explore our beautiful country. She enjoys sewing and ballet and is an active board member of the local children’s clothing charity, Clothed in Love – Christchurch.
